RACHEL
Rachel began her dance training at age four at Kerry’s Dance Academy in Poughkeepsie, NY under the direction of Kerry Teator, Mary Ribble, Belen Estrada and Gerson Lanza. She was a member of the competition team from 2011 to 2020 where she won numerous high score and special awards both as a soloist and with groups at a variety of prestigious competitions. She was also a member of the Pre-Professional Youth Group, under the direction of Meggie Belisle and Brandon Welch, with whom she has performed at Green Space’s Fertile Ground showcase, Awakening Movement’s Fall Concert and New York City Center’s choreographic showcase.
Rachel frequently takes part in choreographic film productions by Leighann Kowalsky and recently performed in the new work “Crystal Clear” and a reworking of “I Still Marvel at How Light They Are” (2015). She was also the Assistant Stage and Company Manager for Ballet Collective’s interactive production, “The Nutcracker at Wethersfield”, and is currently a Social Media Manager for Dutchess School of Performing Arts and Erick Hawkins Dance Company, Manager at Upstairs at BSP, and an assistant at BalletCollective.
Rachel is currently on a gap year with plans to attend The College at Brockport in the fall to major in dance with the intent of getting a BFA degree.
