TAYLOR
This is Taylor's fifth season with Poughkeepsie City Ballet. She started her dance training at Dance Storm (formerly Lysette's School of Dance) at the age of three, where she practiced under the instruction of Lysette Coraggo, Jaime Kaplan, Danielle Mondi, Cheyanna Sullivan, and Patricia Panzer. Over the years Taylor has had experience in ballet, tap, jazz, modern, lyrical, hip-hop, and contemporary performance. Through Dance Storm, she has performed for many charity and community events, including the March of Dimes, Women Aware, National Night Out, Heritage Day, and Giving Back (money raised for local food banks). She was a student teacher for three years and a member of the faculty during her final year, teaching intermediate jazz classes and choreography.
Taylor continued her dance education at Vassar College, where she took ballet classes with Miriam Mahdaviani-Goldstone and John Meehan, as well as modern dance classes under the instruction of Alessia Gaetana Santoro, Kathy Wildberger, Steve Rooks, and Leslie Partridge Sachs, and jazz with Abby Saxon. Taylor also choreographed for and performed with Vassar Repertory Dance Theatre (VRDT), Vass Shakers, Vassar On Tap, and HYPE. She co-founded and was the first president of VC Doubletime, Vassar's newest student-run dance organization, in 2019.
Currently Taylor is pursuing further education at Rutgers Law School with a Merit Scholarship. This summer Taylor will be interning with Transactions Law Group at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals.
